Metro Center
High-Rise Office Building
Hartford, CT
Metro Center is a 12-story, 320,000-SF granite clad tower with an unusual shape. The building was designed as a speculative office building but was sold to CIGNA before it was completed, who had been the only occupant of the building. The tenant fit-up of the building was also incorporated into the final construction documents. BVH was responsible for the structural, mechanical and electrical design for these projects.
Lincoln National Life Insurance currently occupies floors 6 through 12 of the Metro Center, which encompasses approximately 150,000 SF of office space. BVH was responsible for the MEP engineering design, as well as the technology design, which includes the cable plant design and security. The project includes about 700 workstations, a 5,000 SF data center and PBX room. |
