Adriaen's Landing
Connecticut Convention Center &
Hartford Marriott Downtown
Hartford, CT
The Connecticut Convention Center celebrated its grand opening in 2005 as a completed part of the nearly $775 million Adriaen's Landing project in Hartford, which is the cornerstone of a 5-year, multi-faceted state and city economic development plan to revitalize the economic and business climate of Hartford. This 540,000-SF convention center flanks the Connecticut River, and together with the adjacent brand new, 409-room Marriott Hartford Hotel, is the largest meeting facility between New York and Boston. The facility's modern design is both functional and flexible, with 140,000 SF of exhibition space providing room for 800 trade show booths, a 40,000-SF ballroom, and 25,000 SF of meeting space.
The hotel, built adjacent to the new Connecticut Convention Center, contains 429 guest rooms and serves convention-goers with excellence. The building is 469,960 SF and includes amenities of full service and specialty restaurants, a spa, and a health and fitness facility. The hotel also complements the adjacent convention center with additional meeting and banquet space. BVH provided mechanical and electrical engineering design for the hotel. |
