Backus Hospital Multiple Additions & Revovations Norwich, CT BVH provided structural, mechanical, engineering and plumbing engineering design services for the largest construction project in the 111-year hospital's history. Construction included a new 20,000-SF emergency department addition to Building C; the addition of a 60,000-SF Ambulatory Care building housing an Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) unit and linear accelerator; upgrades to a new 21-patient dialysis unit; and new state-of the art, private patient rooms in the existing E-Wing.
