Civil Structural Mechanical Electrical Commissioning Technology	Central Connecticut State University Utility Tunnel New Britain, CT A new main underground utility tunnel and secondary tunnel were constructed to connect several buildings on the campus. Primary electrical services were relocated to the campus and a new buried, concrete encased duct bank distribution system was constructed. Overhead high voltage distribution lines were removed and existing steam, telephone, data, fire alarm, and energy communications were relocated into the new tunnel. A new chilled water distribution piping was also constructed inside the new tunnel. As part of this campus-wide project, new landscape improvements included pedestrian walkways, emergency vehicle access, site improvements, site lighting, and planting.
