Civil Structural Mechanical Electrical Commissioning Technology	MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution Major Expansion Suffield, CT The MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution provides a highly structured environment for long-term sentenced offenders, pre-trial protective custody, and high-bond offenders with programs designed to address the needs of each population. The design-build 600-bed expansion of this state facility comprises five 2-story buildings with 60 beds on each floor. A new corridor system connects the new buildings to the existing facility. Each floor has a control room and day room with telephones and dining tables. The new space also includes shower rooms, laundry rooms, program rooms, offices, and storage. BVH provided civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering, and commissioning for this project.
