Civil Structural Mechanical Electrical Commissioning Technology	UConn Health Center Academic Research Building Farmington, CT The Academic Research Building includes an 11-story addition to the Health Center with a 20,000-SF transgenic animal facility with room for 18,000 mice. The animal facility also provides procedure rooms, micro-injection, cage wash, bedding/feed and storage rooms. Systems in the new building, which is mostly laboratory space, include over 60 fume hoods and other exhaust systems, precise environmental controls, energy-efficient lighting systems, special laboratory gases and purified waters as well as a new boiler plant to service the new building and the existing 1-million-SF Health Center.
