The flagship building of UConn's Avery Point Campus, the new 5-story Marine Sciences Building houses fully-equipped modular laboratories for research and teaching. The 140,000-SF facility also includes chemistry cleanrooms (Class 10,000 to Class 1,000), environmental chambers, a walk-in research freezer, computer classrooms, and distance learning classrooms. BVH's other projects at this location include a new central utility plant and a building for Project Oceanology, an organization that hosts day and overnight educational activities at Avery Point for families and children.
